Are There Any New Features Coming to the 2021 Ford Escape?

An Overview of the New Features Coming to the 2021 Ford Escape

After receiving a redesign for this year, the 2020 Ford Escape impressed with its upgrades. However, not much has been released so far on the 2021 Ford Escape model at this point. But at Blackstock Ford Lincoln, we investigated further to see if there will be any additional upgrades to the future model that may be of interest to you.

2021 Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid

One major addition to the 2021 Ford Escape comes in its hybrid offerings. The PHEV Escape will offer a 2.5-liter Atkinson Cycle Hybrid Engine with a continuously-variable transmission. It will be available on each trim level except the S and SE Sport. The model may also qualify customers for state tax incentives or rebates. It is the same engine that helped the 2020 model receive 100 MPGe with up to 37 miles of all-electric range. A non-Plug-In model will also be available, which receives up 44 City MPG and 37 Highway MPG as initial estimates.

An updated Technology Package will also be available with memory functions for both driver’s seat and sideview mirrors, as well as a SecuriCode™ keyless entry keypad. Other additional features include:

  • Six-Way Manual Driver’s Seat standard on SE
  • Electronic Automatic Temperature Control included in Cold Weather Package
  • Heated Front Row Seats standard to SEL trim and above
  • New Exterior Colors: Antimatter Blue, Bronze Fire, Carbonized Gray, Iconic Silver
