Blackstock Ford Lincoln - Updates re: COVID-19 / Coronavirus
Last Updated: Friday July 24th at 4:09 PM
To our friends, family, customers and community,
We take your health & safety extremely seriously. Given the recent developments of the COVID-19 pandemic (informally referred to as the "coronavirus"), we are enacting strict & drastic measures at our dealership to keep our employees, customers and their families & communities safe.
Please note that information on this page could change without notice, at any time. We are adhering to the guidelines and measures put out by our governing bodies, which include but are not limited to the governments of Canada, Ontario and Mono; Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health; and Ford Canada.
It's our goal to keep our people employed, and stay open for business to meet the needs of our customers.
If you are financing or leasing through Ford Credit and are in financial distress and looking to defer payments, please do not call us, we cannot assist you - please visit ford.ca/finance and log into your Account Manager. If you do not have an online account, you will need your account number and the last 8 digits of your VIN. Once you are in your account, find the Services section and select "Payment Extension".
Please regard the following measures in place at our store, effective immediately, until further notice:
Customers and customer-facing employees MUST wear a face covering: Customers visiting the store and employees in customer areas must wear a face covering, as ordered by the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Health Unit. If you require accommodation due to a health condition, please consider doing business virtually or call us ahead of time to let us know so we can help you stay safe.
Sales department open: Our sales department is now open, however we strongly advise booking an appointment ahead of time as we are limiting capacity in our showroom to respect social distancing. We are still able to sell & deliver vehicles to your home using our Skip the Showroom service. For more information on Skip the Showroom, click here.
Pick-up and drop-off for service strongly encouraged: Thanks to assistance from Ford, we are able to, at no extra charge, offer pick-up and drop-off our customers' vehicles for service until July 31st, subject to availability of our drivers - we may not be able to service your vehicle immediately. We are offering this service to only customers that live within 20 km of either Blackstock Ford Lincoln for Ford & Lincoln vehicles or Quick Lane Orangeville for all other makes & models. We will not pick up the vehicle of anyone who has been diagnosed of having COVID-19 or are symptomatic of COVID-19, as per the below. Pickup & delivery after July 31st will cost $30.00.
Service to be refused to symptomatic customers: This is of course a very sensitive subject and we are very sympathetic of our customers that are ill - even if they have the flu, or a common cold, and not the coronavirus. However, we will, at our own discretion, refuse service to customers that exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19, which include, but are not limited to: dry cough, breathing issues, fever, lethargy, confusion or shortness of breath. Please, for the safety of our employees and other customers, do not visit Blackstock Ford Lincoln, Bad Dog Modifications or Quick Lane Orangeville if you are exhibiting any symptoms of the disease; you will be refused entry or service. With that said, we will ask you to go home, and we will call you at home to reschedule your service in 14 days or later.
Vehicle sales (deliveries) to be sanitized and quarantined: Upon sale of a vehicle, we will prepare the paperwork and store it inside the sold vehicle, sanitize the vehicle, and quarantine it for 72 hours before we will allow delivery.
Vehicles on test drive to be sanitized and quarantined: After the test drive of a vehicle, we will sanitize and quarantine the vehicle along with the keys for a minimum of 72 hours before we will allow it to be taken out again.
Vehicles serviced to be sanitized: Vehicles that are serviced at our stores will have their major points of contact sanitized (door handles, steering wheel, transmission shifter, etc).
We would like to thank everyone for their co-operation in this time of need; however, we strongly encourage everyone to use common sense, not panic, and follow guidelines & orders from your governments and health bodies at the federal, provincial and municipal levels to minimize the spread of these disease to protect our friends, families and communities.
