The F-Series begins its 49th year of production with a lineup that is broader and more diverse than ever. Over that period, the American automaker’s pickup has remained at the top of the sales charts for 44 years, a success largely attributed to the brand’s attentiveness to its customers and its many innovations.
In 2025 alone, more than 800,000 F-Series trucks were sold.
One of the brand’s greatest strengths is its ability to listen. Ford continuously improves its trucks based on feedback from its customers. This approach has led to the creation of vehicles such as the Ford F-150 Raptor and the Ford F-150 Lobo. While this truck isn’t necessarily designed for traditional work duties, it offers pickup enthusiasts a platform that allows them to express their creativity and passion for this type of vehicle.
Ford has also learned a great deal from the electric F-150 Lightning. After several years of testing, the American automaker realized that market demands called for the development of a new type of pickup. As a result, the next generation of the model will be equipped with a gasoline engine that will act as a generator, supplying power to the electric drivetrain in real time.
After fun comes work, and the F-Series excels in that area as well. Ford’s trucks are mobile offices and true work tools in many situations. Everything has been designed to make life easier for workers, from the Pro Access tailgate to the center console that can transform into a small work table.
Since its introduction, the F-Series has sold more than 34 million units, making it the second best-selling vehicle of all time. In short, Ford’s iconic pickup remains an industry leader—and it shows no signs of slowing down.
